Hey guys, question here for you all.

has anybody bought or has any experience with this suspension lift:

It's suposed to be made by rough country, and since I've been looking for a cheap suspension lift, will this be a good one?

I'm thinking that for the price, it's probably not a good lift, but what I would like to know is, will it be to hard or to soft? will it sag right away? or will it last a couple of years until it starts sagging?

Any input would be appreciated.

Yea those kits ride really rough and almost to the point where it stinks to go wheeling. Your best bet for a cheaper lift will be skyjacker. The best bang for the buck in my opinion is old man emu. Just dont use there shocks cause there to short.

 

I had the blocks on mine when I bought it. Now that they are out with new leaf springs and new shocks around. Way way better. You get what you pay for. Good Luck!!

 

yeah, I tought about that, but money is tight, I cannot afford better lifts.

I saw a skyjacker 3" susp lift on the internet the other day, it was the front springs, rear blocks and shocks (hydro shocks) with free shipping for about 250 bucks.

I think I'll go for that one, I'm planning on ordering it this comming friday.

I'll let you all know how it turned out and I'll try to post some pics (still haven't figure out how).

 

Your wasting $300. Save your money and buy Marlin Crawler. Those springs are extremely cheap and do not last. Your 3" turns into 1.5-2" after they settle since they are cheap Chinese springs. Keep the truck as you have it now and save for a better made kit. Do a search on Google on Rough Country lifts and you will see.

Chevy 63" springs in the rear and rears up front is cheaper and will actually ride/work well. My buddy has a Rough Country on his 84 and I have actually seen the back of his truck hop off the ground on a hard hit instead of absorbing it.

 

Well, I'm afraid to tell you all that I already bought the Rough country 3" suspension.

the reasons are simple:

1. It was the cheapest I could afford ($205 with shocks and free shipping).
2. I could not do the chevy because I don't have a welder.
3. The chevy springs looking around junkyards were I live were about 100 bucks, plus the custom installation would have been well around 300 bucks, and this is not including new shocks.

So in a way, the RC kit I was going to be able to install it myself and with help from my almost dumb ass brother, so there I'm saving myself at lest 200 or more bucks.

So know all I need is a free weekend (been working on the weekends) and as soon as I install it, I'll post some pics and let you all know how it rode.

 

Best and cheapest lift would have been rear springs up front, and 63" chevy springs out back..
