Magnaflow 11225 muffler

After reading all of the good reviews of the magnaflow 11225 muffler on the 3vze i decided to buy one. I put it on with some clamps after the cat and sealed up where the clamps joined, then took it to a muffler shop and they put 2.25 inch piping on from the muffler back. When i started it up i was very unimpressed by the sound, i was expecting a louder roar but it sounded barely louder than the stock muffler. Ive read that they sound better with age, do i just need to keep driving it and it will get louder? mine sounds nothing like any of the videos ive seen of them. The piping before the cat isnt 2.25 though, its around 1 3/4 or 1 7/8, would that be the reason? I wanted a louder muffler but as of now its definitely not loud at all, its barely different from stock. It does drive nice though, i think i can feel a slight power boost. It just seems very quiet compared to all the other videos of seen of it, im hoping it gets better.

I don't have anything magnaflow, but I can assure you that any exhaust gets louder once you remove a restriction anywhere down the line... so if you upgrade the downpipe and header, it'll make it louder

Flow is sound. the 3vz does not make good flow, there for, wont be much of a sound difference.

This is what "flow" sounds like on a 3vz, read the descriptons for what its got on it.

Yeah I know it doesn't flow well but I was expecting more than what I got. It basically still sounds stock. Hopefully it'll sound better with age

Keep in mind that all mufflers take some time to break in. Hopefully it turns out to sound the way you want.
