exhaust manifold studs

i searched and couldnt find. i gotta 22re exhaust manifold studs that have pulled the threads. i gotta good idea what im gonna do to fix it, but i was looking for a thread so i can compare ideas

u can just drill it and tap it for a heli coil or drill and tap for a bigger bolt,

I have great luck with thread replacement inserts then using new studs of the same size.

Most times when you are at this point the head is coming off most often so it is much easier to do the drilling in a drill press. At least for me as I would fall into the engine compartment and need to be rescued again

Fix it properly and replace all the studs while you are there.

ok so after i posted this and did some more reading, the owner of the truck i was gonna do this work on sends me pics of the issue. Its not the exhaust manifold studs that are pulled out of the head, its the 3 studs that connects the rest of the exhaust to the manifold. GRRRRRRR!!! next time ill just ask for pics 1st
