Cheap ISR mod for 3.0L

Hey guys, today i did a very cheap ISR mod to my 92 Pickup. I picked up a stock replacement airfilter cause it was time to change it anyway. Whille doing so i did the "deck mod" i believe its called where you remove the stupid scoop from behind the headlight and also drill 1/4" holes in the bottom peice of the filter box. Then just to try it out i removed the silencer box from the lower filter box, and just blocked off the hole in the stock air tube with a spray paint can cap, yes a spray paint cap haha. Odly enough it worked, the truck started and ran, revs good and doesnt stall, im not quite sure if this is a complete mod but it works just like it. Feel free to ask me any question if you want to try it, only took me 40 minutes to do this its not a big project.

Im not his friend on FB, I was able to see them fine.

But a photobucket is a good idea if you plan on posting more pics anywhere on the internets.

Throttle response, I think it helps a little but my OEM intake was cracked so I chose to do mine vs a new OEM piece. $5 at lowes or $30+ at the dealer or somewhere

Why does this crap deserve a thread?
Its been done thousands of times, and probably has an equal number of threads.
The fact that its booty fab makes it even worse.

Well the cap was a tight fit to get on so right now its holding itself on, i plan on some sort of adhesive, and 2DoorRunner i was just posting it because i didnt wanna go spend any money....its a good, simple and extremely cheap version of everybody elses mod and i thought anybody else looking for a cheap way to do it could use mine for an example.
