90 3vze 4x4 5spd xcab which trans do i have?

i dunno if i can trust the sticker, engine, much of the body, and a whole bunch of things have been replaced from various trucks over the life of this truck before i got to it...

hmmmm... if the sticker is not there or has been 'replaced' then you will have to get underneath and find a number on the tranny itself to be 100% sure. I don't remember exactly where on the tranny though

most likely r150f. r150 is 2wd.. i believe the r150f is the transmission for these v6 models (5 spd only) from 1988 till early/mid 95 when the 3.4 came out cool thing about this is the 3.4 bolts right up to it
also i know you said the truck is kinda a mystery truck on parts but there is the plate under hood on the fire wall of the cab info on gears trans etc

They changed locations. Pre 88 (I think) the plate was on the firewall, and some time in 88 (for the 89 model year) they moved them to the door.
