yota NOOD looking for rebuilt engine distributor

so after hundreds of dollars worth of maintenance to my ford mustang and one wrecked cherokee i decided to buy a yota. i have always wanted one and found one on craigslist cheap. after not too long it needed a motor big surprise. my mechanic wants to pull a junk yard one but im skeptical and was looking for a cost effective rebuilt engine distributor.

I have done some research and found oregon engine rebuilders.through the forum

I need the v6 for an 89 4runner

SELLING THE MUSTANG because i have had enough headaches between tickets and repairs i should be buying a new 4runner. but it wouldnt be as much fun as a first gen i have wanted one forever please make this feasable for me.

DO NOT get 1 product from Oregon engine rebuilders (OER). They are junk motors with non existent warranties.

i vote you buy a wrecked truck or 4runner with a 3.4 and swap it in its so much better of a motor than the 3.0

i dont have the mechanical ability to do that. and i do not trust my cheap mechanics to do it (they do simple things im too lazy to do) so im just getting my dads reliable mechanic with reputable shop to do it.

should i save the money and trust his judgement with a junk yard swap? he found 3 motors and is going to look at each of them and choose the best one for a swap. he is a good mechanic i just worry about mileage. i guess ill get him to rebuild it too if nothing comes to mind.

a junkysrd rebuilt sounds good as long as he knows what he is doing and is dependable. make sure you get high quality head gaskets. those 3.0's love to blow them

I purchased a 3.0 from KarKing . The owner George is a Honest man. My engine pulls, doesn't leak and will last another 20 years
