alright - I have an itch, and it goes like this. I would like to really find a coil that I can put in this thing for a performance boost. I don't expect this to be a night & day change, but every time I have done this in different vehicles I have been able to notice a difference. if I can notice it, do it cheaply, and add together some of these cheap noticeable mods then that usually equals something worth while, and if it is cheap enough then if it doesn't work out no big loss.

I've seen 2 options one is using a gm coil, and the other is the 7mge coil. the 7mge coil seems like more of a direct bolt on so that is the direction I would prefer to go. if I go the 7mge direction is it simply a coil swap, or do I need to couple it with an ignitor?

question 2 - I live in Wyoming, and there are no emissions regulations here. I would like to get rid of everything under that hood that I possibly can. is there a good starting point for information in order to do this?
