Should I part it or not? 87 22RE-T

I bought this truck to part out(87 4x4 turbo), mostly because I want the transmission to put behind my 1KZ-TE. Anyway the truck is looking at me saying I should not part it since it has lived 602,000 miles and still runs. Needs timing cover fixed (worn through from the chain) and lots of little things. Bed is as rusty as they get though the cab is very decent and the remainder of the paint is dull and clearcoat is peeling. It has lockers front and rear and has an adjustable cam gear. It sat all winter and when I needed to move it around it always fires right up. It would be a bit sad to part it out but I know that the truck is not worth much in healthy condition. I could always put in a V6 R150 trans and still take the R151F trans that I want. What would you do? Anyone have interest in the truck?

my vote goes to restore/DD. 602k is something to keep. if you part it you will regret not knowing what milage potential it had.

just my $.02

Thanks everyone! I am still on the fence. The truck needs so much work and I have two other Toyota's already. I have had no luck trying to sell it so far. Everyone wants it and thinks it's cool but are just tire kickers. I would love to see 1,000,000 miles, but damn, that would be in like 30 years since having a regular cab Toyota is not my idea of an ideal vehicle and it would not rack up many miles with me. Someone must think otherwise- spread the word that it is for sale!

I'll buck the trend & say part it out......but then again I found this post looking for a used tranny & wish I had the R151F out of it.....wouldn't mind having the 22ret either.
