Hey guys I was lucky enugh to get my hands on a 1986 pickup 22rte, I drove it for a day with no real problems (somtimes it would sputter and you I would have to give it gas to get it to start and run). so i decided to do a tune up with plugs, wires, cap, rotor, air filter and a oil change, after i did all this I took her for a drive she ran great no sputter on start up. Came home and I wanted to turn the idle up a bit so I did that and it was running and idling great so I shut it off. Came back 15 minutes later to go for dinner and it starts and purrs like a kitten for 4 or 5 seconds then sputters out, if I try and give it gas it just dies quicker. There was a thread on here with a few guys having the same problem and one of them said they fixed it with a new o2 sensor (I will try this first thing tomorow) but the others never figured it out. PLS as I got no job without a truck, not to mention I cant go wheelin. Thanks

 

Well I got it running, I was old conections on the MAS cleaned em up and still a little rough. Gonna redo the timing mabey the dis got moved when I did the cap plugs and wires. Nobody replied but I know alot of u looked so thx for lookin.
