Current trucks:
looked for my current truck for over 6 months because it HAD to be a 3rd gen, x-cab, 4wd, 5spd, 22re (pre-teen dreams from staring at neighbor's 3rd gen PU across street every day). ended up finally finding one after posting a CL wanted ad. For $4200 I ended up with a 1993 X-Cab, 22re, 5spd, 4wd, 165k from the original owner in 2007. Pristine interior and exterior, but ended up dropping $1500 on tranny 6 months later
Probably will never get rid of this truck.
2003 Tacoma single cab, 2wd, automatic, 25k - FREE from grandfather-in-law at the end of 2010. Had too many Toyotas making a parking lot in front of my house, so last weekend I sent it to my in-laws for them to drive around.
Past trucks:
my old, deeply missed
, Toyota pickup from college: 1987 x-cab 4wd, 22re-turbo, 5spd 120k, poo brown - got that one for $2700 in 2002 off CL. 1yr later in 2003, had the front end literally ripped off as it was totaled while parked at my apartment complex - insurance offered me over $5k for it; needed money to buy food and for bar funds. stupidest decision ever was taking $2k of that money and buying an '83 K5 Blazer because it was a Diesel and "the top came off", instead of getting a 1st gen 4runner - that lemon nickle and dime'd me a lot of $ until i sold it in 2004 for $4k to the first person interested - took that money and ran...very fast.
1983 Datsun 720 PU, single cab 2wd, 5spd, Z24 - got that for $1300 in 2005. did a lot of work on it and was one of the most fun trucks to drive around, but needed to upgrade to x-cab and 4wd...and Toyota. sold it in 2007 for $1900 to a guy who was surprising his 16yr old son with B-Day present.
Future truck:
perhaps next year, will end up with a 1998 Tacoma single cab, 4wd, 5spd, 3rz, 200k for FREE from in-laws when they upgrade to a new Tacoma. Still runs excellent, but interior and exterior are beat to hell - saving up $ now for full-on crawler treatment because I think this will become my trasher wheeling rig.

Current trucks:
1985 4runner purchased bone stock in 2003 for $1400 (blown head gasket). Currently getting ready to strip it down for all useful parts then sell the rest.
1985 2wd extra cab, purchased in March of 2010 for $500, currently being converted to 4wd using parts from the 4runner posted above.
Past Trucks:
Too many.
