91 runner- 2wd front bumper on a 4x4?

My current smittybilt bumper on my 4x4 4runner is rusted to pieces. I have the opportunity to get a stock bumper off of a 2 wheel drive truck for the price of FREE. I understand there are some differences between the 2 and 4 wheel drive bumpers. The guy has already modified the bumper so it mounts correctly, but does anyone know who much of a difference there is in the dimensions of the bumpers? I really want to make this work even if there are small differences

that is what I thought as well! But he swears up and down that there are some differences. I am hoping to get some input from someone with experience with this.

it's easy to find out, run some part numbers over at toyotapartszone.com and see if they have the same bumper.

First of all, thank you. I didn't even know such a place existed.
Second, it appears that they are showing different part numbers so there must be a difference somewhere but I still don't know how much of one.

they're similar, but not identical. the 2wd pickup bumper's edges are narrower, and the turn signals are in different locations. but a toyota bumper is a toyota bumper, it will fit, but it might look funny

Thanks 98 3RZ. Even if it looks funny, it has to look better than what is on there now. Especially for free!

Sorry edited, the first 4runner i posted was the newer bumper style.

You are right, looks like they might be skinnier to line up with the non flared fenders.
The end caps also look to be riveted on instead of one solid piece.
