Something other than a headgasket?

Got an '87 4runner, about 20k miles on rebuild. I did use a toyota HG, chased the threads in the block although I did not have the block or head surfaced...I checked them best I could and they were both flat.
Anywho, after the engine gets warm I will get some white smoke out the exhaust only at idle (high vacuum I assume is the difference), almost as if it is loading up at idle then cleaning itself out once I start moving and the vacuum is reduced.
I took a picture of my plugs, which I can post up if necessary, all 4 are caked with a white residue. No coolant in the oil, I am not pushing coolant out the overflow and the engine does not run hot. Everytime I check it, the rad is full, but I am using coolant as the overflow empties out.
I have bypassed the IACV where it plugs into the intake, I have bypassed the coolant ports on the TB, so where else can coolant get into the intake or do I just have a blown HG?

If you have coolant on all of your plugs, then you definitely sound like you have a HG problem. Are you sure you installed it correctly? Did the engine overheat or get hot prior to the HG replacement? Since you did not have the head checked, it is possible that it is warped.

As an afterthought, did you torque the head bolts down correctly?

Thanks for the response. It has never overheated since I have owned it. Yes the head was put on correctly, I torqued the bolts down in the correct order with a tq wrench that I verified to be correct at work.
All the HG's I have ever blown in other vehicles, it was one or two cylinders that went, and those plugs reflected that...and/or I was blowing coolant out of the overflow, had coolant in the oil or was overheating.
I guess it could be a HG but it acts like I have an antifreeze injection system on the intake which is the only thing that would explain coolant residue on all 4 plugs yet no other symptom.

isn't there coolant passages in the intake. Maybe your intake manifold gasket is bad on the head side.
