elblako's 92 toyota pickup long travel build
How She sits as of 11/4/2013
Well I finally received all my things after a long while of researching and waiting and a couple of members wanted a build thread so here it is. First off there is good news and bad news. Good news is that the build is going to happen bad news is that it won't happen until the summer as i didn't have enough time over the Christmas break to make it happen and now school is here so everyone can think of this as a teaser. I'm kind of skeptical about taking this project on by myself as a lot of grinding cutting and welding are required and I don't want to mess up. There's a place close to me that will put it on for $750 but I just don't know. I guess I will have 5 months or so to think about it. Anyways on to the goods.

aww I remember when my parts looked brand new like that.
::::: now they look all beat up lol. for those shocks you might want to order a spanner wrench to adjust the ride height. i got mine from off road enginnering .com or something like that

yeah I've been told the same thing by a couple of people.
I know their are 2 types of tubing. HREW and DOM tubing. After reading a little I think I will make it out of DOM because it is stronger. I'm also leaning towards the first design as well.

Well I have around a month and a half left before i take it to krawl tex so they can build my bumper and install the LT kit. Thought I'd take some pictures of my flex now and then get some more pictures once the kit is installed for comparison.

Does anyone have any experience with McNeil Racing? I'm looking at their fiber glass fenders and am wondering if anyone tried their fiberglass.

Number one... probably the wrong place to ask. Number two search the forums, there are tons of mods by hundreds of people im sure there is something. And finally the saying always goes... you get what you pay for. Im not sure if there is anything cheap you can do that will improve the ride quality of a stock toyota. Pretty much everything you do will make it rougher. I will suggest though, air down your tires a bit, invest in some good shocks and take your front sway bar off. Other than that the long travel in this thread is probably the smoothest it will ever get, but we are talking a pretty serious investment.
