3VZE 3.0L Heads - Can you measure for previous machining?

I just got my heads off and and going to run them over to a machine shop, but before I go I was wondering if there is any way to tell if the previous owner has already machined them. Anyone know what/ where I would measure to figure out if I have room to resurface again?

Thanks!

Unless you have the right tools and know where to measure , let the machine shop do it. These are common heads and if the machine shop doesnt know how , take it to someone who knows what they are doing.

The FSM does not have a specification for the cylinder head height. So unless someone knows something that is not disclosed by Toyota, I would suspect guesswork.

These heads are rebuilt all the time and any shop that rebuilds them has the specs for them.

They are done, nicely resurfaced and the valves were all tight, so no valve job.
