i have a 2wd harness and ecu wondering if it will work in a 4x4 pickup. it has manual locking hubs. any help appreciated!

 

Not sure but likely the dash lights for the 4x4 won't work.

 

just replaced my ecu, odds are it may start an run fine, but perhaps throw codes an such. My suggestion would be to call toyota with ur vin, and ask what ecu's are compatable. I had one from an 88 22re 5sp from cali, and it would not go in my 87 22re 5spd non cali runner. However it did start and run fine, just threw codes because of the egr temp sensor not being on my runner (cali equip only)

 

i put in a 87 motor (that was originally carb. )into a 1991 . when i bought the 91 (that was originally 2wd) it had the complete efi setup. so i am putting that on the motor
