straight piping my 99 tacoma

straight piping my 99 tacoma

i was wondering if i had to buy i kit or something to straight pipe my 99 tacoma because of the o2 sensor thats behind the cat i want to remove my cat but i dont want to screw up the sensor or the computer system

I wouldn't do it. straight piped 3.4s sound ricey and not toned correctly. why not just leave it with a cat on it?

You could go with a o2 simulator like the one sold by URD but...

Why? Straight piping your truck will:

A) Make it obnoxiously loud for you and everyone around you.
B) Actually make your truck probably run a little worse, due to the lack of exhaust back pressure.
C) Hurt the enviroment.

So, there is no real gain. I can see just taking the muffler out, and putting a pipe in there to replace it, but there is no real reason to completely straight pipe your truck.
