1986 toyota wont start no electricity

I have a new battery just replaced it because I let my 4runner 22re sit for a few months..it was under warranty so I said why not get a new one...Now Its completely dead nothing, no light no clicks no anything...All fuses look good cables looks ok...Any ideas what else could cause O power as if u had no battery in? My fog lights work that r hooked straight to battery but thats it....

Sounds like a positive cable problem to me, are you sure the positive terminal end isn't cracked or broken? After we bought my wife's 4runner this same thing happened, I checked both cable ends both seemed tight, removed them to clean and found one cracked, I replaced it and no more problems.

There is a fat white wire that goes from the positive terminal to the fuse box in the engine bay. Check that for a fusible link. Mine went bad the other day while i was installing some fog lights. It took me a little while to figure it out. check for power inside that fuse box

If that is it, they had it hooked driect to the box with no fusible link to it..Just stuffed under the box some place I asume...If this is it, witch I wont be able to check till tomorrow in the light, u saved me alot of work and headache bro....Now I just need to get the right set up and put it back the way it should be not half assed, like they had it and find out where it goes forsure...Did I say its an 1987 toyota 4runner with a 22re 5 speed...Would guess the set ups on truck and runners r all the same?

should be the same. it goes directly into the bottom of that box. I don't have a fusible link in mine either. just a solder joint where the black tape is. I had to repair a loose crimp connector that the previous owner had put on. Here is another picture of it.

I believe it feeds that 80 amp fuse, yes. there is no single accessory that would use that much current on its own. that fuse should feed the rest of the smaller fuses. it could be that there never was a fusible link and that 80 amp is used instead.

The fuse marked AM1 is actually your fusible link according to the FSM for 1985.

first wheeling trip i yanked mine out of that box. same day i found out i didn't have a battery tie down strap.
half way through a trail the battery bounced out and pulled it out. but a good to know thing.

if that doesnt work... just check all conections to and from the batt. if you know how to use a test light or a volt meter that would help too. just follow the major wires/ conections from the batterie.
