Need a little Information - 94 4wd -
Hey guys, great site; well done. Looking forward to loosing sleep and flooding my brain with more pointless information on this site.
Question:
Swaping 93 RCSB 2wd Cab onto 94 RCSB 4x4 Frame.
And quess what, the 4x4 frame is gone.
*Going to add the (2wd) rear half of frame. Cut will be just in front of rear/cab crossmember/driveshaft loop area.
**-Frame thickness, frame channel height, width, total/spring perch length the same between 2wd and 4wd?
Will be welding pilot guides on the inside of 4wd frame - slide on rear half 2wd frame. This should reduce possible allignment issues (and hours of measurements..)
Thanks guys.
Any positive information is more than i have now and appreciated.

Sounds like a plan. Shouldn't be too many differences between the 2WD and 4WD frames if they're both Regular Cab SWB(Short Wheel Base). They're both 1/2 ton you know? Got a 4WD rear axle? If not, you should try and get one. The 5 lug 2WD axles are weaker. Won't match the 4WD front axle either(6 lug).
I just got done welding my 4WD frame back together. Can't say I enjoyed it much.
This helped though: http://personal.utulsa.edu/~nathan-b...13bodydime.pdf
Here's the rest of the online FSM if/when you need it.

Give us a holler if you get hung up. We'll gladly talk you through it.
Good luck!

The frame has channeling that runs inside the rails. You should search Pirate4x4 as have seen a similar build there. Guy was an engineer student that intented to have the frame strength and flex of original frame so to avoid rigidity as cracking with time. Did not track it too closely though. Was a very interesting welding technique he used. Good luck.

MUDDPIGG:
Parts I'm looking for:
heater control valve
22re 5spd ECU
windshield washer fluid reservoir?
I will have all three of these parts for you in about a week if you want to throw me a price. (Do you need the washer reservoir and pump?) I'll throw the rubber hose and elbows in too; Oh, also if you need part of washer wiring harness/connector or ECU harness sections.
