shortening driveline
someone in my area is selling a sas'd truck but he says the driveline needs to be shortened. it was previously a 2wd. Its lifted so i would think it would need lengthening. Is the 2wd shaft a lot longer or something? its a 1990

when adding the transfer case to the transmission this will cause the factory rear 2WD driveshaft to be too long. So that sounds pretty much accurate. I don't know if a factory rear 4WD driveshaft will work or not, but it might be an option.

depending on where you are located I do have an early 90's rear 4WD Driveshaft you can buy from me or try out if your close. Was saving it for a spare, but I can get plenty of them if I need to. Haven't even tried to see if it's the right length for my 87 yet. All it's doing is taking up room in my toolbox. lol. Not willing to ship it though.

i didnt even think about the transfer case, it all makes sense now! ill try to find a 4x4 drive line and see what happens.
