I need a bigger truck

OK im going to start my own part time business, the trailer I'm going to be using is 7000lbs will a 2005-06 tundra dc 4x4 be OK or am i better off getting a diesel ford or dodge. i want to stay around 15k max so a new tundra is out off the question. and the only gas truck i willing to get is a tundra. I'm going to be driving from mostly in Oklahoma and north Texas so no major mountains the climb. i wonder if a 22re can pull 7000lbs

Get a Diesel dodge.
pickup a used dually, do some exhaust mods, throw an exhaust brake on it, and have a blast.
DONT GET AN AUTOMATIC DIESEL, EVER.

cummins are good, also fords with the 7.3 are bullet proof dont bother with the 6.0 ford diesel there just full of problems.

I don't want a dually, i really wouldn't mind getting a 7.3 excursion.

As much as I love my manual Transmissions.

It seems you can`t get them anymore in the newer trucks.

I for sure would also want a truck for pulling a trailer just for the longer wheel base

Best luck in your new venture.

With a 7.3L you'd be able to pull 7K easy, my grandfather has pulled 10K on it before.

Your Tundra should handle the load IMO if you don't have to tackle long, high mountain climbs.

Thanks,

Patrick
