what kind of lockers should i buy?

what kind of lockers should i buy?

i have an 82 longbed 4 cyclender pickup and i am not sure of what kind of lockers to buy? I only want to lock the back.

well in your case it is only possible to lock the back. If you can afford it, I would go with a selectable locker like ARB. they are best for if you see mostly pavement, in which case it will be open most of the time. otherwise, get an automatic locker like a detroit or an aussie. not as road friendly, but still pretty dang good

Dude, just weld the front. Its the cheapest.....lol. But seriously search the locker question as to which is best is frequently asked.

yep weld the front on a 2WD...awesome advice

edit: forgot--aussie locker--good quality for the money...managed the install all by myself

i bought a lockright for my 81 2wd.. it worked great. you can buy a locker for a 86-95 FRONT diff and it will work in the rear of your 82 2wd.

Thats like the cheapest way to turn a 2wd into a 4wd but only for traction purposes. "GOSH, vote for Pedro"
