What kind of grease do you use in birfields?

What kind of grease do you use in birfields? Hopefully that's not too stupid of a question. Do you just use regular bearing grease?

Used heavy duty wheel bearing grease in mine and havent had any problems

I actually used a mix of NLGI #1 and #2 but I would have rather just used all #2

+1 on that. I use this grease for everything except wheel bearings. the Toyota manual states this should be used on the double cardan joint. I'f it's good enough for that, then that's good enough for me.

I used to fill mine with a small tube of CV joint grease, Sta-Lube brand as I recall.


Then pack the outside with some regular moly grease.
