Tieing a 95 Electric speed sensor into a 96 Taco cable ecu?

Ok so Im almost done with this sweet swap but one more thing Im hung on is my speedo wire. My truck is a 95 man tranny with the electric speedo sensor and the the harness and ecu i swapped in were from a 96 taco which used the cable from the tranny then sent the signal to the gauge cluster and on to the ecu (i think) so i have to figure out how to get my cluster hooked up as well as my ecu to pick up the signal? Im sure I'm not the first one thats ever run into this haha and I need the advice!!! p.s after i get this done I'll be posting pics and what not of my build but i want my wiring proper first!

your VSS from your 95 transfer should fit into the newer transfer case (assuming this is 4x4). Have you tried it?

No my tranny is the orignal that came in the truck and the 95s (and some other years I believe ) had the electric then for what ever reason I guess for the 96 taco they switched back? but I have everything the same, I swapped in a 97 T-100 3.4 ( came out of auto tranny) and fitted it with a 96 tacoma 4x4 manual tranny harness and ecu. I would think I could keep my stock VSS (electric) and mate it to the Taco ecu as well as my cluster, right now niether work becuase I have an obd reader that shows any indication of my ecu sensing speed but notta haha. So of the 3 wires is it as simple as ground/power/signal and i just run the signal to the ecu and speedo? cuz I cant even find the dang wires in my schems!

I am thinking this will help. Hopefully anyway.
