Hi guys, this is my first post here. I have a '93 4runner, and recently it has been making a strange sound that seems to come from the front right side of the car. It's hard to explain, the closest thing I can think of is someone jangling coins in their pocket. Any ideas on what this is?

 

jangling coins doesnt really help that much. does it make the sound when you turn?

 

Yeah it does, but it also makes the sound while I'm driving straight.

 

check your cv boots, if they are cracked or torn after awhile they can cause problems.

 

Maybe you have coins jangling in the glove box... No really. I know it sounds funny but i have had many customers come in with simple things like that. One lady said she was smelling gas inside her car. I had to tell her not to leave her gas can in the trunk. Another person was hearing a clunk in the rear end ever since he took his towball off. The towball was rolling around in the spare tire compartment. Just sayin... Alright, well I am kinda makin fun/jokin too. But, hell check anyway! You never know...
