2nd Gen Gauge cluster swap-tach?

Im thinking about doing the same thing except with an 87. My cluster doesn't have the tach so im looking to upgrade. I got a used cluster today from an 88 with the tach and everything else. Can I just drop the new one in or do i have to install some other stuff?

I checked through all the wires and they all were the same for both clusters, so if anyone is curious they just drop in. You just need a different oil sender.

it depends, I had to switch a few wires around on the plugs in my 87 as listed in the thread dedicated to the SR5 gauge swap.
