i have a bad coolant hose today and wondering if anyone has replaced this hose with a non toyota hose? heres a pic below circled with red.
its behind the intake manifold on the back of the motor area

 

You can try your local parts stores, maybe one of them will have it, if not then you will have to go to the dealer.

 

They should have that, if not just get some generic heater hose and make one, just make sure it dosent kink. Bring the old one in to the parts store with you .

 

I replaced all my the hoses back there with plain old heater hose.
Make sure you get the right diameter hose and like RE-RE said, no kinks. Use screw type hose clamps, more secure when you don't use pre-formed hoses.

 

since no autoparts stores sell toyota hoses like this there dealer items only and about 30.00 a hose

plain old heater hose will kink and not be good so thats no help, its not a strait hose! lol

im looking for someone who has replaced the hose with some other model car or hose without buying it from the dealer
