What's this worth? 1981 Hilux

OK....I want your brutal honest assessment of this truck.

1981 4x4 hilux 22r 5 speed
#'s matching drive train.
Was a white one originally

Runs. Legal.

Whats it worth? and does it looked lifted? I see the fenders are hacked....

Im interested....seem to be parts around for em...goal would be to wheel it....but make it nicer....ya know?

Needs sunroof replaced. Is this a factory one?

Interior...no door panels...carpet...oddball seat. Some floor repair.
Dash cap is cracked....but seems to be there...has tach...mean its sr5?

Has the factory looking gauges above the out of place console...sr5?

Just a dirty pig....new radiator...carb rebuild....runs...

Has a flatbed...

Who's bumper?

sunroof, definitely not OEM not in 81. Missing corner lights, may or may not be legal, it is a nice flatbed, but no wheel wells covering tires, may or may not be legal, it does look like it might be lifted, By the look of the tire sitting on the flatbed and size comparison they look like 35's or 38's ??? Tires have good meat. Interior needs ALOT of work.

Offer him $850 and see if he takes it. Tires them selves are probably worth $350+

I think he said 33's. He has it legal. They are pretty lax in MO though...no emissions on older stuff...just a safety.

That solid axle is calling....lol

Ill see it in person on Sunday. He's driving it out from about 60 miles away.

Anything I should look for in a solid axle truck? special rusty spots on a 1st gen truck?

yeah there has been some patches put in the floor...
dont know how good/bad they are.

Now...Im not afraid to replace some metal. And Im down for a long project.
I guess it boils down to the frame/cab condition in general.

Most of the time when I buy a car/truck to keep/flip its gotta have 2 outta 3 things going for it. Like good body, good engine, and bad interior...etc..

This one will have to run good. Have a decent trans/transfer case
and the suspension will have to be complete and not patched together.
Solid frame too.

Im going to go over it really well.

Did I here somewhere the l50 and its transfer case are a little noisier in 4wd?

What is with the Hack patch job across the top of cab just above the rear slider, which is not even a 1st Gen Rear sliding window...too big...this thing has had the back patched together...it was either a Trekker cab or a motor home cab
.
$500-650 if it run OK...

oh...good eye!!! Wow...that kinda kills it. Thats a cab swap there my freind.

Hmmm. If I can get it cheap enough...I suppose I could toss the solid axle in th 88...wheels and tires for the 88...maybe use the bumper....keep a spare motor...

Imma try 500 and see what he says. Thanks....I am so glad I had you guys look this over....saving me time/money .

I get itchy buying toyotas...thanks for helping me check myself.
