99 Runner Limited - how to bulb replacement

I need to change the front right marker bulb in my 4Runner. I've stuck my head in there and wondering how to do this. Please advise.

I also need to change the left fog light. Please advise.

I'm a female who can do basic things like this, I just need to know where to start. Thanks so much guys.

For the marker light, left the hood there will be a screw at the very corner where the hood meets the fender/ marker light.. under the hood. Pull that screw and then *gently* pull the marker light out towards you. Idk what to call it but theres a female hole and a male push pin type deal that is going to fight you. As for the fog light I have no idea..

like stated above, just reiterating that it wont come out easy. There are 2 pins (i think) on the back of the marker that connect against the body and they are a good tug or war to get them out. Make sure you don't pull at an angle. Literally stand in front of your vehicle and pull straight out towards you, wiggling it just a tad. They should pop out, eventually lol. When it does you'll see the connector, just twist it and it will come out.

As for the fog light.. If they are the factory ones they are connected to a bracket screwed in by 1 or 2 screws. Just look up behind the bumper and you'll see it. Get the bracket off and the whole thing comes out. Then when removed you can see how the actual light is on the bracket.

the first time to pull out the marker light is a pain, once you have done it you'll be able to do it easily the next time. I use a thin flat blade screwdriver and I use masking tape to wrap the edge of the blade. By using the screwdriver behind the outer seam you can get a bit more "pull" on the corner market lens.

And yes make sure you remove that phillips head screw first.

Sorry no able to help on the fog light but JWaldz is typically on track with good advice.

I was able to change the marker with no problem. Thanks for the screwdriver tip as it helped and popped right out.
The factory fog light - I have no idea how to take the assembly out and most of the screws are all rusted anyway. I'll probably have the dealer do it when it goes in for the timing belt.

I think there are 3 screws on the factory fog light housing, then a clip. It is confusing and has to be angled out.

The fog lights are a total PITA - I stripped one of the screws and gave up.
Took it to the dealer, they didn't even charge me for it.

Here is a link that might help... Fog Diagram

This might help as well

This should give you an idea of where the screws go that attach the entire bracket. You get the bracket off un-clip the wiring clamp and you'll have it in your hand. Then from there you can see how the light mounts to it. If I still had mine I'd look at it now but I got an ARB after I got backed into. I'm pretty sure thats how they mount up though. If you take it to the dealer, they prob wont charge you. Mainly bc you're a girl lol but other than that it's bc they know what they are doing and can do it under 2 minutes Good luck!
