Arrow 95 4runner wont start when hot!!! help....

Hello there i hope u guys can help with this one, i got a 95 4runner that as soon as it gets to normal temperature it dies and wont start again til it gets cold again. when this happens it tries to start but it quickly dies again. I notice that when i open the gas cap air comes out, also i have changed the fuel filter, fuel pump and nothing i still got the problem. Next thing my be to change the coil or the fuel pressure regulator to see if it solves my problem. Any body can help me would be nice or somebody with same problem in the past advice please.....

I also did a tune up to it. One thing to mention is that i took the manifold or the top thing on the engine to clean it up so when i put it back i place the wrong hose on the wrong port (gas hose on vacuum port) so truck wouldnt start do to that. I finally notice it and truck started and i had to let it idle til there was no more white smoke coming out from the tail pipe due to burning the gasoline that was stuck in there.... but now starts fine drives around 4 5 minutes then die and wont start til it gets cold again..... thanks for viewing.... i dont know what else to do!

White smoke out the tail pipe is not fuel its water/coolant.(unless it was 50 degrees or less outdside.)

Cold start injector stuck open and or leaking....?

Fuel pump overheating...?(How old is the gas in the tank?)

Faulty ignition coil...?

Any codes?

Intake manifold gasket leaking?

Throttle body gasket leaking?

Faulty coolant temp sensor?

"Flapper door" in Air flow meter sticky or stuck?

Yeah somebody mention cold start injector too, I have to check that. Recently fill it up with gas used lowest one the cheaper one unless I have to use other one. Fuel pump is brand new replaced it yesterday. I have to check the coil too and fuel pressure regulator to see what's up but will check the cold start injector first better....... thanks for the input.........

i just found this on the web is exactly what happens to my truck so ill buy a coil tomorrow and see what happens.................

>>>>the coil has the tendency to quit working and fail once it reaches a certain temperature. It may work for several hours, depending on outside temperature and other contributing factors already mentioned before failing. Once the coil has failed, it may take an hour or more to cool before service is once again restored. This will make the car impossible to start..

Wow. Sorry you didn't get much help. The air intake temperature sensor would have to be what went bad in your airflow meter. It's the little probe looking thing that protudes down into the air chamber. Gasoline in the intake is probably what ruined it. Unless the problem was happening before you cleaned the intake manifold?

Yes I cleaned the maf sensor before the gasoline thing happened after that I didn't clean it. That thhing ur mentioning the little probe was all black, but good thing is running now. Thanks guys at least you guys gave some ideas.

How I found out it was the maf sensor? Simple, I took my wifes blow dryer and I heat the sensor until it was kind of hot and of course truck didn't start waited couple minutes to let it cool down and truck started just fine and that's how I found out the problem.
