94 22re wont start.
#1
My toyota 22re died last week and had it towed home. I can't get a compression reading from any cylinder and it's a "weaker" cranking sound for lack of a better word. Changed timing chain components and it was definately needed. Guards were eaten up and over 50% of them were in the oil pan as well as some metal from timing cover. Cleaned everything out, new gaskets and rings everywhere. I'm getting fuel and spark. No oil in coolant, no coolant in oil. i'm rather novice with engines as this was as far into one as i've been. After everything was put back on, same problem. Strange "weaker" or maybe "lighter" cranking sound, no compression. What am I missing here? I'm as confused as everyone else i've asked is. Bent valve? Blown head w/no symptoms? Any help is appreciated.
