Wink chevy 4.3v6 wiring questions

hi, i have a 90' toy 4x4 ex-cab pickup with a 4" suspension lift and a 3" body lift, put a chevy 4.3v6tbi out of a 92' chevy blazer vin z complete with ecu and wiring harness, and would like to ask a few questions about wiring.

Search Pirate4x4. Plenty of information. FYI, I'm also doing the conversion on my 94 4Runner and my 4.3 is out of a 92 Blazer vin z. All you need it like 5 wires to run the factory harness. Search Pirate and you will find the wiring schematic.

The engine is on the stand painted. Have to put the oil pan, timing cover and buy a new dipstick tube since mine was rotted. The junkyards here have them but they are rotted too.

I have never been able to find much for wiring. But the best thing i have heard about it is to run 2 ECUs.

Here is the pirate link btw. http://pirate4x4.com/forum/showthrea...chevy+swap+faq

This is also a helpful link too. Doesnt help with wiring though, but still good to read though. I had to copy and paste it into a word doc to read it normally.

hi, if you are like me and i hope not, i cut all the wires on toyota in engine compartment, and i have to do the same thing, i have to pull dash out to make sure i get the right oil and temp wires, fuel pump wires, and starter wire. good luck, i think that is what you will have to do. not for the weary is it.

No what I did was buy the little tool to remove unneeded wires from the Toyota loom. I identified wires like oil pressure, temp starter ac and the neutral start switch and the 4wheel drive wire. Still chasing the temp and the check engine wires. Going to pull the cluster and back trace those in the am. For the fuel pump I converted the Toyota tank to accept the Chevy pump asmembly using the howl stand alone harness and computer that was flashed to remove the security crap. Engines out of and 2003 astro van so had to keep all Chevy smog parts as I am in so cal

i got the toy running, it runs great and sounds great, my only thing is when engine off and key on run the fuel pump will cycle when brake is pushed, headlight switch turned on, wiper turned on, 4-way flasher turned on. i tried separating ground but didn't fix problem, i have the gm blazer fuel pump in tank, any ideas. thanks by the way 2doorrunner your progress looks very good, good craftsmanship
