Dammit! I knew I should have delt with my steering rack before... I don't know if i'm going to make it because the boots on my steering rack have been torn for a whlile now and I don't know how good it would be to take my truck through uwharee like that... unless we want to have a wrench-a-thon!! and I could pick one up at the yota yard hyperlite told me about in charlotte when I'm there for turkeyday. M & J what are YOUUUU doing for thanks giving???

btw, what are the other "vehicles"? Just out of curiocity...?

Damn... thats tempting. I might come and video the thing and let my car sit and just drool at the 90. I LOVE those things. If I could ride and videotape that could be an option. I might have to join you later than 10am though. I'll give you a call tomorrow and see whats up while I'm on the road to C-town.

Doesn't look like I'm going to be able to make it.
I'm going to the junk yard that has a bunch of toyota stuff instead! Save a few on a new steering rack. Sorry man, got to fix stuff before you have fun with it

Got the rack, didn't get anything else. Didn't really feel too keen on them... of course I guess every scrap yard kinda gives you an erie feel. Like they want your money at all costs type deal... idono... got a rack off of a 96 (they had to pull 3 before they found this one that worked. David and I had to go to lunch to pass the time and they said they would call, but never did. Turns out it was sitting right in front of her the whole time
oh well. It was the one that your bro told me about where he found his steering rack. It was like 130 plus some change for the rack with tax and such. Had a good time with David until I realized I left the rack in the back of his truck when I was headed to asheville... yeah... good move austin...:pat: We had a pretty interesting time parking downtown though. We DEFINATLY couldn't fit under the 6ft8 height limit in his lifted and racked rig... SO, we talked to the guards and they were like suuuure, park in the van parking, just tell this guy and that guy... they are really nice.. we are like whut? but, to make an even longer story short. We got free parking and made friends with some city security folk. In savannah... that would NEVER happen. parking people are NAZIs and (this is not a stereotype just speaking from MY experiences) but they all have something to prove and you are a BAD person for parking illegally. but, don't get me started... anyway... had a good time!

yea the first time i went there i got a compressor and jons ps pump...they said the pump and compressor were up front so i drove into charlotte right at rush hour got there and they said they didnt have time to pull the pump and come back. Damn it but it was a good deal so on the way home jons sees BMW on the compressor so i call and he gave me the wrong one. no big deal since we have to get the pump tomorror anyway. got the right compressor (which i ended up not even needing) and jons ps pump.
the next time, I again went into charlotte at 5pm to get the steering rack for jon, which was sitting behind the counter like they said, ready to be pickedup. got there and they said they were short today and couldnt pull the part, come back tomorrow
well the next time i sent my dad who had to wait 2 hours for them to pull the rack -- all the time they said they were sitting behind the counter already pulled -- LIARS but i will use them again since the stuff was so cheap
no the fun part putting that bitch on
so you left it in davids truck.... short term memory loss
