Tucson: Chivo Falls July 11th

Sunday July 11th

Chivo Falls Half day, longer for those that want.
Meeting time 07:00 @ Circle K on Tanque Verde
Depart 07:30

If you don't know where the circle K is, google map it.
11271 E. Tanque Verde Rd
Tucson, AZ 85749

I'm down for whatever, as long as I can be hitting the road by early afternoon. Everyone is more than welcome to stay later, but I would like to get a list of people who are down for the whole day and those like me who want to bounce early, as to not leave anyone driving on the trail alone. Its looking ot be a decent sized run. Its probably going to be F'n hot, or very humid is the rains come, so be prepared with lots of water.

Most of us have seen this trail before, so bring what you need to be prepared. Spare tire, tow/recovery straps, tools, spare parts, ect.

I currently have 4 confirmed for this run over at Tucson Off-road, and one possible. That thread:

You don't have to join up over there if you don't want too, just trying to keep all of my info in one place. If you're confirmed or possible to go, let me know.

You mean.. I'm not the only person stupid enough to romp around in the dead of summer here in Tucson?

I'd love to go.. but not sure if I'd really be able to. I'm a total n00b with a stock truck, and .. don't have the gear for runnin' with a group.

Was a fun trip today. 86auto, man I wish I could have seen you wheel more! Your truck just performs so well, we watched you on the way out of the falls, you got caught for a min, from the distance it looked like your truck was humping the rocks lol, but sure enough you got up.

4yoter broke a steering link or something on his passenger side tire on the way up one of the big hill climbes from the falls, one of our guys ran him into town to get a new one and took him back out. They actually made some killer time.

Unfortunatly, I couldn't get up the one obstcale that I wanted to. I just couldn't get the tires to bite enough. A rear locker would solve that problem though. I will say that I damn near soiled my pants though when I got sideways attemping to get up. I think there might be a picture of that, I'm not sure.
