Angry A picture is worth a thousand curse words

I'll make it quick and easy, my fault, no serious injuries exept my pride. I needed to go straight on a corner and didnt see the oncoming car. In any case, here's the result.

˟˟˟˟˟! That sucks!

If they don't total it (looking at approximately $5K-$6K repair bill) make sure you're alignment is okay. My accident almost the same as yours (except it was a lady that cut me off and I had no where to go but into her side) had enough suspension damage where they replaced the torsion bar, control arm , and a few other things. Good luck!

Thumbs down

Thanks for the support. I dont know if it'll be totaled yet. This just happend last night. But I suspect they will The front wheel was against the back of the fender. It all really really sucks. I think I'm going to go with a Taco next if it does get totaled.

Looks like one of those incidents in which your nose guard may have caused additional damage then if you didn't have it, hard to tell though...

what did the other car look like?

Unhappy

I'd say we each got our fair share.

And I think the gaurd helped. There really isn't a way to be sure. It did keep my airbag from going off. uhhhh horray?

I doubt if the bumper kept the airbag from going off. There are deceleration sensors that deploy the airbag. Its a good thing that the airbag didnt go off as they can cause more damage than no airbag at low speeds. Were you wearing your seatbelt? Glad you didnt get hurt.

I like how you editted your profile. Shows you have a little humour even after you crash your toy.

well, your airbag didn't go off because your 4Runner doesn't have an airbag . 4Runners didn't come w/ airbags until the 3rd gen came out ('96 model).

I stand corrected. I guess I always just assumed it had them, but now that I think about it I never remember seeing the warning for them. Oh well. doesnt really matter now. My next one will be a 3rd gen. No more V.slow for me. I'm looking at 96-97 Runner or a 97-99 Taco. Looking for something in the free to 10 grand range.
