RTV silicone in place of carb gasket?

I was installing my weber carb plates and used RTV silicone high temp stuff on the gaskets. Totally missing the part not to use RTV as it doesn't go well with gas. Will this work for a while or what should i do? Ill need complete new gaskets again I am guessing? thanks.

RTV does not work well with gas, it tends to eat away at it over time. What I did was take the gaskets and used a permatech gasket sealer that never hardens just kinda stays gooey and it seals amazing.

No, DO NOT use silicone on any of the gaskets at the carb! Too many small passages can or will get plugged up
