1980 Yota 2wd pu carb flooding out at low idle...
New to the forum here and exhausted my search for this particular problem. 1980 Pickup floods out at low idle. I've replaced plugs, wires, fuel filter, fuel pump, rotor button, dist. cap, coil and removed top portion of carb. The glass window shows fuel at all times as if the level is up above the window. I'm now thinking that I have a sticking float and or an improperly adjusted float causing to high of a fuel level. What do you guys think my problem could be? I also checked some emissions items as per the thread research I've done on this site. My next plan is to rebuild the Aisan carb. This engine/carb are all stock with all emissions installed. No mods that I can tell. I welcome any input and don't want to strike a match to it yet... at idle looking both barrels, I begin to see fuel pour into each side. Secondary starts to fill up above butterfly. I believe the secondary jet is the main source of my fuel pouring in at this point.

fixed my yota carb
For the time being, my carb is fixed. I rebuilt it and removed the tiny filter element over the needle as I damaged it pulling it out. Reassembled and reinstalled it and it is running great now. I now see the fuel level in the glass window about dead center. I would like to replace the filter screen. Does anyone have a source for those?
