88 yota bein funny

88 yota pickup 4WD V6 and it didnt want to start a couple days ago(cranked n cranked).. got it towed to my house where i replaced to the fuel pump and filter (PITA!) and it still didnt start and then replaced the ignition coil and it still didnt want to start.. then i went to bed.. worked all day today and the truck sat untouched for awhile and then i got home tonight and tried turning the key just randomly and it started up kinda rough and stalled.. then on the second turn it fired right up just normally and ive shut it off and on a few times since even took it on a test drive and everything seemed normal.. no hesitation starting.. any ideas on whats goin on? distributor? Thanks!

Stop replacing parts randomly and start using some deductive reasoning skills...

You could check under the distributor cap for water.
You could check the spark plugs for tracking.
You could check your plug wires for tracking.

I guess you could just replace all those things and help stimulate the economy...

What were the conditions when you tried to start it?
How long have you owned it?
Has it done this before?
Did you get gas somewhere other than normal?
