Loss of voltage while braking?

When I go to apply the brakes when i have my lights on i lose voltage on my meter and theres a small squeal that happens. It quits once i get above 2k rpm

the alt belt might be slipping and it is more noticeable when the charging system is under a load.

1983 toyota

i put an 1987 internal reg alt in my 83 toyota and sometimes it will drain my battery in just min and sometimes it charges like there is no tomorrow searched and searched but cant find any thing wrong but yet it persist ,help

Its the fact that with the head lights on and all the parking lights as well as the instrument lights when you step on the brake and those lights come on it is taxing the alternator for all its got which is now at idle also. My 86 used to do this until I changed EVERYTHING over to L.E.D.s now the headlights are much brighter and no more dipping voltage gauge.
