So i boosted my 83 wrong, made some sparks, now won't start

So i recently picked up a 83 pick-up, my battery went dead and i accidentally put the booster cables on the opposite leads on the battery. It made a few sparks as you can imagine, but now she won't run. My lights/blinkers/horn/electric fan still work, but there is no power no matter what possition the key is in. All fuses are still good. I've worked on all EFI yotas up until this truck, and am still figuring some stuff out. I realize there could be any number of wires melted/shorted, but can anybody give me an idea of a good place to start looking? Steering column? Engine bay harness? Thanks in advance for the help guys.

Start at the positive battery terminal and work your way back from there. That is what I usually do when someone brings me to a vehicle that has had the battery connected backwards or the jumper cables installed backwards.

i agree on the fuse link. i had this problem on my 82. when it blew i also fried the voltage regulator ( on the drivers side inner fender by the brakes. I think there are a total of 3 fuse links on the connector by the battery. one large charge, and 2 other??? i had 3 anyhow.
