heater always blows hot

i got this 1990 4runner in january, the heater is always on hot. this wasnt a problem all winter, but now that spring is here, well you know. the controls seem to work and the cold setting is cooler than hot, but still too warm for comfort. any suggestions?

Your thread title cracked me up when I first read it.

I'm assuming it doesn't have A/C?

If that's the case and you have the A/C on and it's still blowing warm air it sounds like you could use a recharge.

Heater always on

Did you ever find the cause of your heater always being on? I have the same problem on the same year 4runner - the heater's always on. I've changed the heater control valve, but that made no difference. It still blows warm even when switched all the way to cold, and it blows hot when all the way to hot.

If you did figure out what was wrong, I'd love to know.

All the best,

Steven
