Shackles that I made in the rear and steel 1.5" BJ spacers in the front! Got it done today, I couldn't be more pleased with the results. I will clear 33's easily, and I never touched the torsion bars! Spent about $120 overall!

I was thinking 33x10.50 BFG M/T KM2's would look awesome and should never rub.

I'll admit, it looks good.

AND, you'll clear 33's easily... until you hit a hard bump up front. The 'bump' or 'compression' stops are on the lower A-arm and you're BJ spacers have only managed to pushe the suspension down- all you have done is increase the amount of travel the lower a-arm has to go through before it hits the stop: if a 31" tire would rub without your spacers up front, a 33" WILL rub too, and probably rub even before the 31" would.

 

Abe, love the Borat theme. It's a nice! I live in Salem also. I have had this truck out in the woods a few times and I have never rubbed the 31's at all. If the 33's rub a bit that's OK. I'm not opposed to some light clearance cutting. Plus, this is all temp. Until I can afford to SAS this girl. My buddy ordered the trail gear kit for his 94 yesterday and were gonna get started next wknd!

 

As a matter of fact, when I get the 33's, I will put a floor jack under one, push the suspension all the way to the top and see if they rub for you....

 

Could I see a pic from head on? Someday I may BJ lift my truck, but some BJ lift jobs I've seen produce noticably positive camber. I'd like to see what your looks like.

 

I got some bj spacers awhile ago and never got around to putting them on... wish I would have. They're sitting in the garage somewhere.

I fit 285's with no rubbing on the BJ spacer up front and no torsion adjustment.

I hit the pinch weld at full lock and while compressed, but I live in florida so that doesn't happen all that often haha.

You can fit the 33.1050 of course they said I couldn't run taco rims with 285's without a spacer, and I've never had a problem with contact thier either, went ahead and trimmed the upper a-arm just in case but it's never rubbed at all.

anyone know how long I can get away with running the stock shocks?

 

bj spacers add a leaf instead of shackles to get a little spring back in my springs but anyway truck on 33-9.5-15 bfgs and it fits super swamper tsl bias ply 32-9.5-15 which are a bit wider than the bfs. i just put wheel spacers on cause of upper control arm issues and they are not on in the pic. did you shim the front shocks? in all honesty my rear shocks that were supposed to compensate for the lift were the same size as the ones i took off...so id say no hurry on that part. i can stuff the 33's without any issues or rub. if you want ill try and get pics of them stuffed before you make your tire decision.

 

Thanks for the pic bro! Ya I shimmed the front, but the fr. shocks are still limiting my downtravel by at least 1/2". Ha that's funny on the rear shocks. Ya I'm in no rush to replace them, the worst I could do is mess them up!
