DontStepOnMySteeze's 1994 Pickup Build-Up Thread

Okay lets start im 16 so keep that in mind through out the thread. The first thing i did to the truck was install a new sound system. I recently got my intake and installed it yesterday.




testing the head unit


cut out the holes for the 6.5 inch speakers


traced out the 6x9 speaker cubbies


the head unit and dash put back together


one of the door speakers


one of the rear cubbie speakers


the old intake


the truck sittin in the garage


piping on


painting the maf


intake in


the filter and painted maf


the support i made for the intake





all finished

its nice you can feel and hear it better and im on spring break right now so im def gonna buy the flowmaster 40 and put it all on soon cant wait, and i gotta put on the new rear brake shoes my dad bought so he'll stop bugging me about it lol

hey man nice job on the intake. i got the 40 series and a doug thorley header and it sounds awesome, even without the dt header. id def recommend it.

thanx bro and yea i was wondering if the flowmaster would still sound good with the stock header lol i painted the heat sheild that covers the headers you can see it in some of the pictures and i also painted the little metal peice over top of the valve cover

does it sound like throaty and beastly lol im not sure wether or not to get a 40 or 44 series i've been reading and seeing alot of mixed opinions

its throaty, and kinda beastly. i mean its not to the point where its obnoxious you know. idk what the 44 sounds like but id def go with the 40

more then its worth. you should be good just replacing the muffler. looking good man.

how do the 6.5's sound in the door?. i just put 5" in the dash modifying the stock box, put 6.5's in the old rear and im thinking about putting 6.5's in the front doors..

running new pipes shouldnt be that expensive. just buy your cat and muffler then take it to a shop to weld up. should be anywhere from 100-200 dollars

ya im bout to copy your speaker set up. just got 2 10's today and gonna upgrade all my other speakers. lol how are the 6x9's ran? think you could take some more pics please?

the wires are ran from the cubbies and out of the rear panels then i have them tucked under the carpet along sides and then under the carpet to the stereo

man i got some of those black euro taillights and blacked out my signal lights and parking lights with that nightshade paint looks 10 times better. lol that nightshade will do wonders. cant wait to see pics of it on your truck dude

Blacked out lights










the brake light, turn sig, and reverse light are all VERY visible, most of my friends have theirs blacked out too and so far no one has gotten in trouble for it, one of my friends got caught with a rear light out but the cop didnt give him anything about them being blacked out lol
