I bought a 85 4x4 truck with a shortbed and the bed pretty banged up and rusted out. Im currently looking at a 86 extended cab shortbed to swap the bed over. Will the bed from the 86 swap over to my 85?

I bought this truck 2 weeks ago. It's been abused but im slowly getting it back together. It's a 85, 5speed, EFI, and solid axle
I sanded and Krylon'ed some of it last weekend...have to do some body work this weekend.
I originally bought it to put the 5speed and solid axle into my 87 4Runner but it looks like I'm keeping it.

 

Kinda hi-jacking, but you got your answer already. Just to clarify, its the same shortbed for 85 or 86 regular or x-cab? I need a bed for an 85 x-cab, which is why im asking.

***EDIT*** found my answer. I searched initially before posting, but it wasnt until i re-searched that I found it. (stoopid noob)

 

I am pretty sure all the short beds are the same within a given generation, mounting wise. You will have a choice between a Japan style or a US style (rolled tops) though.

 

Yeah, the listings ive seen for them say with or without Bed Rail. im assuming with is the jap/can bed, and without is the US. not sure tho.

I have a short bed off of an 85 standard cab mounted on my 86 xtra cab. Everything lined up perfectly. Do believe 84-88 are interchangable. US or japan atleast thats what I have been told.

I tried to put a bed from 89 on my 86 and it was wider but would have bolted it up with little mod, just did not like the look.
