Mechanic lost my flywheel cover - HELP

I may be in the wrong forum, please let me know where to do this. Bad mechanic lost my flywheel cover and battery bracket from my 1990 4runner, 3.0vze. Searching for cover, no used parts websites seem to comprehend flywheel cover. What else do you call it?
Thanks for any help.

Search for either a manual trans, or clutch for your truck and find a yard near you that shows one in the search. Then call those places that have your trans/etc and tell them what you're looking for.

PErsonally, I'd raise hell and make the shop that lost your stuff find you replacement stuff.

I'm not sure what you're having him do, but I'd look everything over twice if he can't even keep track of parts.

why are you having to fix this? if by mechanic you mean YOU, then ok. but if by mechanic you mean, you paid someone to fix your truck and they broke it, THEY SHOULD FIND THE PART AND PAY FOR IT.

As everyone else said, the mechanic should have to find and replace the parts. Is there a receipt for the work done, if so that's all you need, threaten the guy that if he doesn't fix it you'll take him to court. if you actually go to court show the judge the receipt that the mechanic was down there and removed it, then he'll have to pay for, and the court fees.

GOOD LUCK

Thanks for all the help guys. (My Dad started this thread). We have taken the truck to another mechanic, one who is Toyota certified, and they fixed a lot of this guys mistakes, but the guy really messed up the truck bad. He isn't really organized, and there is some possible gang affiliation, so we really don't want to mess with him anymore. we will look around at some of those places, and see what we can find. Like I said, thanks for the help tho.
