Well finally had some time to build a new exhaust for the 4runner. The goal was to make a high clearance, quiet but great sounding, high quality exhaust system that will never rust. I used 2.5" Stainless steel, mandrel bends and a Magnaflow 5x11x22" long muffler. The result is fantastic, the fit and finish is better than stock, and the sound is exactly what I was looking for.

At idle and cruising it is only slightly louder than stock, you can barely hear it over the mud tires. When you step on it it really growls. It has a deep agressive sound without being annoying or droning. There is no drone at 100 km's (65 miles per hour) on the highway, just a slight hum from the tailpipe. I will try to get some vids up in the next few days.

Its been a week now with the exhaust and I love the sound, just did some hwy driving yesterday and I am happy that it doesnt drone....like my Supra. I will get some vids up this week, stay tuned.
