So I was putting everything back together on my Runner and I was wondering about this, what I can only guess is some kind of vacuum switch next to all those sensor at the back of the engine 95 3vze the only one with out an electrical connection and it has a vacuum hose going to the charcoal canister.
well the tube broke off on it and I don't have any quick fix for it right now and toyota sells it for a mean $84 so my question is how important is it?

Not the dreaded VSV NIPPLE!!!

That is fairly important. I would go to Toyota and get a new one, as yours (and every used one in HISTORY) is heat checked and the nipples have broken off.

Only if you are stupid enough to buy it from your local dealer, and not call Phil (Strap22) and order it online

sounds like ur crush gaskets have gone bad or that part has came loose, try tightening it up a little first and if its still leaking then replace the crush washers on each side, now if its leaking from the cap just replace the whole thing,
