pulley part number

Does anyone know the part number of the A/C belt tensioner pulley for the 95 3.0? I need to order the bolt the pulley attaches to.

I just stripped mine (or just discovered someone else did actually - I ain't THAT strong) & my local Toyota dealership couldn't even find where a 3.0 engine was installed on the 95 model 4Runners....the (hopefully) temporary parts counter guy said "It's either a 3.8 or a 2.7"

Apparently the Toyota parts dept. here in my town has no clue & I can't find a part number for the bolt....do the pulleys listed in the chain parts stores come with a bolt lol?

I have the tensioner pulley....I just need the bolt the pulley bearing rides on & apparently it's derived from un-obtainium. I suppose I could check the outlying junkyards an hour from my home but that seems like a lot of BS for #@$& bolt.

i would just take the bolt up to fastenal or try and find a nut and bolt specialty store near u and see if they can find something that will work, it will cost a dollar at the most, not sure about napa or autozone u might get lucky with places like that they stock metric size bolts for our trucks but there's a slim selection. do you know if the nut that's on the bracket is messed up too?

Well doc, it's like this - it's not going to be stocked at any chain store unless it's packaged with the pulley, which I doubt. I can't just run up & grab any old blot that will fit through the hole because this is the tensioner pulley bolt that the pulley fits onto as per above....not the bolt that threads into this one & draws the belt tight.

I know, clear as mud lol - I see where you have an 86 4Runner, if it's got power steering it's probably got a similar tensioner for the p/s belt, mine does not have one for the p/s but DOES have one for the a/c belt & I need my a/c for the defroster to work properly or I'd just suffer through until I found one at a junkyard.

yeah i forgot about that stupid thing, your probably just gonna have to go to the junk yard then, but still if it was me i would probably just get a nut and bolt an put that thing on there if you need it now

and i did do a quick search on the internet an i did find the whole bracket with the pulley and tensioner on ebay for like 40 bucks

I hadn't checked ebay yet, good find. But since all I need is a $2 bolt; I can't see paying $40 plus shipping or driving two hours + to get to & from a junk yard.

Here's what I did; I re-threaded the bolt & chased the torn off bolt threads out of the nut & cleaned it up. I wasn't able to get the nut back on very tight but with some lock-tight on there I hope it holds until I come across a reasonable solution....like buying the bolt from Toyota, wish I knew the part number.

(btw that nut cut the threads off the bolt so cleanly I was able to pull it out & could still see the grooves!)

I know you have the 3.0 but I had recently called on this same part for the 22RE. 88446 35030. They quoted me $2 but it's special order and would take about a week to get it in. Maybe that will get you on the right track at least

Thanks cchant; I'll look into that part #....that's for the PS tensioner on the 22re?

EDIT: HHhmmm, that part number comes up as a cooler bolt & only 90 cents at the dealerships
