motor went to crap

around 2 monthes ago i had a small coolant line on my 1991 toyota pickup with the 22re in let go, in my attemts to make it to water, it slightly overheated. after the truck was fixed and filled with water i started it to find it idled horribly and dies. well i get under the hood to listen closer and i see my harmonic ballancer wobbling, so i take it off to find the guy had forced it back on and then tack welded the front of it. now the crank is gouged where the key is supposed to go.

Is there some kind of sleve i can put on it to correct this ?

What would cause my over rough idle and dieing problem?

The rough idle could be a blown headgasket. Overheating will do this. As far as the tack welded balancer, that just messed up.

yea, ok so the rough idle is the head gasket, easy enough on that.

How about the crank, if i go and buy a new crank and bearings, can i just drop the oil pan and yank that one out and slap a new on in or what?
