Building a 350

hey guys am new here and thought i could get some help right now am in auto school and just stared to build a 350 and have nothing to put it in then a good friend of mine had just bought a 88 4runner and its all stock but still looks bad a$$ to me and told me that i should get a 4runner to put it in been on here the past few days and see there is a good bit of people doing it my plan is to find a 1st gen 4runner to put my 350 in is there any thing i need to know before doing this i have done engine swaps before like pull a 350 out and put a create in but never a swap like this. Anything i need to buy for this swap i need a tranny i know but really i cant think of much else but like i said am ignorant when it come to a swap like this but should be a great time here is what i got now came out a 87 silverado plan to just rebuild it and not much else just got it down to long block and plan to have it completely torn down by Tuesday hardest part is trying to find a 1st gen 4runner



also this is my current ride a 63 impala with a 327 bagged it is my first car if you could not tell am a chevy guy

Throw some vortec heads on it, get an edelbrock performer (not rpm) intake, edelbrock carb, some block hugger headers, and your good to go.

my plan was to stroke it but some things came up so am just rebuilding it all new gaskets new double roller chain summit cam and all new bearings did find out it is bored .60 over whitch if i stroked it would be a pretty strong engine but am still happy with what am doing now the only problem is finding a solid axle 4runner to put it in any ideas were to look am in GA don't see many around have about 9.5 when my impala sells so now its just a matter of finding a good clean 4runner

Those older impalas had some sweet body lines. Nice car, and good luck with your SBC.
