2.4 swap

I have an 86 w/22re has anyone put in a newer style 2.4 motor in &is the bellhousing the same? any help will be appreciated

newer style? You talking about a newer 22re? If so yeah there all the same! Bellhousing in on a transmission!

sorry read a little slower on you post! Im not to sure about the transmission. I just put a transmission that was in a 94 toyota pickup into my 87 4runner and everthing bolted up just fine!
